GORHAM, N.H. — The White Mountain National Forest and the Arts Alliance of Northern New Hampshire announce the second year of the White Mountain National Forest Artist-in-Residence program.
Interested artists in all media are invited to apply for the 2012 residency, a celebration of the connections between forest, landscape and culture. The deadline for applications is April 20.
The program goal is to use art and creative expression to explore the many ways in which people relate to forests in general, and to the White Mountain National Forest in particular.
One artist residency of at least three weeks will be offered between July and September. The artist will be provided lodging in rustic accommodations, as well as limited reimbursement of travel expenses and the cost of supplies and materials.
