Church gets grant
CARTHAGE — The Carthage Union Church has received a $1,000 grant from Vision New England to assist low-income elderly residents with projects they may help with.
The project could be relating to housing, transportation, health or anything approved by the church. Funds are limited and all applicants will be accepted on a first-come basis. The deadline for filing for assistance is Tuesday, May 15.

Snowmobilers meet
NEW VINEYARD — The New Vineyard North snowmobile club will meet at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, April 1, at Smith Hall. A tasting party will be held after the meeting.
Plans for the landowners’ supper will be finalized and the work crew is asked to bring in their work sheets. The public is welcome.
FMH Auxiliary sale
FARMINGTON — Bag Ali Handbags and accessories will be on sale from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, April 2, and 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 4, in the Franklin Memorial Hospital Bass Room.
The fundraiser is sponsored by Franklin Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.
