RUMFORD — Alma Arsenault Howard, 98, of Essex Avenue, died Thursday, March 22, at Rumford Hospital from heart complications.
She was born in Rumford, Sept. 20, 1913, a daughter of Joseph E. and Rose Comeau Arsenault. She was educated in Rumford schools and was a graduate of Stephens High School. She was employed as a secretary for Waldo Insurance Agency for many years.
She was a communicant of the Holy Savior. She was a life member of the LeParesseux Snowshoe Club and VFW Auxillary. She loved cats and would often take in strays. Alma enjoyed playing cribbage and going out to eat.
Surviving are her three nieces, Georgianna Arsenault of Portland, Therese Arsenault of Rumford, Margaret Arsenault and companion, Jim Littlefield, of Jay; and two nephews, Benny Arsenault and wife, Shirley, of Rumford, and Anthony Arsenault and wife, Kathy, of Kingston, N.Y.
She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Pearl H. Howard; and two brothers, Aurele Arsenault and Urbain J. Arsenault.
