NORWAY — Nina Hicks Lippincott Grover, 82, died Tuesday, Feb. 28, with her family surrounding her.
Nina was born Aug. 12, 1929, in Gray, the daughter of Clarence and Wilma Edwards Hicks. She graduated from Gray High School and was an LPN and enjoyed nursing in many capacities.
Nina married Melvin R. Lippincott (Skip) on Dec. 3, 1949. They owned and operated Pike’s Hill Nursing Home in Norway for many years. They loved camping with their four children and their many friends and later with grandchildren. Skip passed on Feb. 2, 1985.
Nina married Robert E. Grover (Bob) on Feb. 14, 1986, and moved to Sumner. She and Bob enjoyed their church and became very involved with Patrons of Husbandry (grange). After Bob’s passing, she moved back to Norway.
She joined the Oxford Grange, where she was active for many years. She received a 25-year plaque. She loved to read, loved her pets, yard sales and going on trips.
She is survived by two sons, Ivan Lippincott and wife, Debbie and Ryan Lippincott and wife, Rebecca; a daughter, Ruby Bryant and husband, Bertram; seven grandchildren, Dana, Elizabeth, Della, Gabe, Paul, Joshua and Michael; eight great-grandchildren, Brianna, Morgan, Hayden, Brodie, Bryce, Trinity, Tredon and Colvin; a nephew; and many cousins.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Inez M. Brown; her brother, Clarence; and sister-in-law, Erna Hicks.
