Masons meeting

CANTON — Whitney Lodge 167 of Canton will hold a stated meeting on Thursday, March 1. There will be a casserole supper at 6:30 p.m. and the Lodge opening at 7:30 p.m.

Texas hold ’em

HARRISON — The Harrison Lions Club will hold a Texas hold ’em tournament from 1 to 6 p.m. Saturday, March 3, at the VFW Hall, 176 Waterford Road.

Doors open at 11:30 a.m. The entry fee is $55. Space is limited to 100 players. Refreshments will be available.

Proceeds will be used to provide services to the community.

Smorgasbord, dance

PARIS — A public smorgasbord supper and dance will be held from 5 to 9:30 p.m. Saturday, March 3, at the American Legion Hall.

The cost for supper is $7. The cost for the dance is $5. Music is provided by Jones Dance Band.

Girl Scout tea

BETHEL — The Telstar Service Unit Girl Scouts are joining in the nationwide celebration of Girl Scout’s 100th anniversary celebration. On May 6, they will host a tea which they hope will serve 100 Girl Scout alumni from the local area.

Ball registration

PARIS — The Town of Paris Parks & Recreation will hold baseball  and softball registrations for the 2012 season from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 7, at the town office. There will be a second registration on Saturday, March 10, from 9 a.m. to noon.

Registration is open for all boys ages 4 to 15 and girls ages 4 to 18 and includes the levels of T-ball, Cal Ripken rookies, minors, majors and Babe Ruth baseball and softball.

Proof of birth date required. Registration will be $30 per child with a family rate for those with more than two players. Babe Ruth registration will $50 per player. For more information call Joe Trybus at 890-1437.

Mom, baby tea time

BRIDGTON — The Birth House is announcing a new group, Mother-Baby Tea Time.

Mother-Baby Tea Time is an informal gathering of parents and their babies that is designed for sharing stories, support and information. This is an opportunity to learn from each other in the presence of a facilitator in a relaxed, baby-friendly environment.

Mother-Baby Tea Time is free and open to the community. Babies and toddlers are welcome with their parents and should be supervised at all times. Light snacks and tea will be provided. The first meeting will be from noon to 3 p.m. Thursday, March 8.

In partnership with the New Hampshire Institute of Therapeutic Arts, The Birth House will also offer free massage to postpartum mothers during Mother-Baby Tea Time. The massages will be offered on a first-come, first-serve basis. A private space for massage will be provided. Each session may last approximately one hour, so plan accordingly. Childcare is available upon request.
