CNA, Certified Nurse’s Assistant begins March 20. Call for additional information about this class as well as future dates.
Adult/pediatric CPR/AED and first aid, 6-9 p.m. Tuesdays beginning March 6, three weeks.
Alpaca school, session one is March 10 at Rumination Farm in North Yarmouth from 3-5 p.m. and session two is March 31 at Longwoods Alpaca Farm in Cumberland from 3-5 p.m. Register for one or both sessions. Session one will focus on the fiber arts, taking raw fiber and hand-spinning it into yarn and finished, handcrafted products. Session two will demonstrate what makes good yarn, as well as strategies to turn a profit within both commercial and cottage industry models.
Beginning ballroom dancing, 6-7 p.m. Thursdays beginning March 1, five weeks. Learn the basics of foxtrot, waltz and swing.
Boating course, classes start March 13 for advanced piloting, March 19 for seamanship and March 20 for piloting. Check the website for additional information.
Cancer: Let’s take another look, 6-8 p.m. Monday, March 12. This class teaches an entirely different viewpoint of cancer. What if it wasn’t an invasion of out-of-control cells, but instead a significant biological program orchestrated by the brain for a reason? Based on the five Biological Laws of German New Medicine.
Color class, 6:30-8 p.m. Thursday, March 8. Wearing the correct colors for skin tone, hair color and depth creates harmony, gives a put together, professional, approachable look.
Ghosthunting 101, 6-9 p.m. Thursdays beginning March 15, eight weeks. Presented by Central Maine Paranormal Investigations. Basics of ghosthunting and the paranormal. Field training is included.
Maine Driving Dynamics, 6-8:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 6, and Thursday, March 8. Improve defensive driving abilities. Five-hour class provides a certificate of completion, three-point credit on your driving record and seniors over 55 qualify for a discount on auto insurance.
Marketing your business online — Plan for success, 6-8:30 p.m. Wednesdays beginning March 14, two weeks. For both beginners and experienced Web users. Covers a range of topics including domain registration, Web design, hosting, search engine optimization, e-commerce, processes, databases and more.
Middle Eastern dance (belly dance), 7-8 p.m. Wednesdays beginning March 28, six weeks. Learn more about the art form of belly dance, and the history behind it.
Reiki II, 6 to 9 p.m. Monday, March 12. Learn additional symbols, in absentia (long distance) healing and receive a second attunement increasing the ability to channel energy.
Reiki III – Master teacher, 6-8 p.m. Wednesdays beginning March 28, nine weeks. Participants should have completed Reiki Level I and II studies.
Sewing I, 6-9 p.m. Tuesdays beginning March 27, six weeks, or Sewing I in the afternoon, 2-5 p.m. Tuesdays beginning March 27, six weeks. Afternoon session is at Auburn Public Library.
