CORTLAND, N.Y. — Katherine D. Avery of Lewiston has been placed on the dean’s list for the fall 2011 semester at the State University of New York College at Cortland.

Katie, a 2009 graduate of North Yarmouth Academy, is majoring in criminal justice. She is a goal tender for the school’s women’s ice hockey team, The Cortland Red Dragons, and is also an EMT-B on the school’s emergency medical services squad.

When home from school, she is a volunteer firefighter EMT-B with the Sabattus Fire Department.

She is the daughter of Tom and Diane Avery of Lewiston and granddaughter of Zita Bolduc of Lewiston and David and Margaret Avery of Auburn.
