Congressman Mike Michaud has announced that two students from Hebron Academy have been offered an appointment to West Point and to the U.S. Naval Academy.

Allyson Janet Strachan of Hebron was nominated to the Naval Academy by Rep. Michaud and Sen. Olympia Snowe. The Naval Academy has offered her an appointment and she has accepted. Strachan is the daughter of Andrew and Sharon Strachan of Hebron. Andrew Strachan is retired from the Navy.

Shane Hearn of Auburn was nominated to West Point by Michaud and has been offered an appointment by West Point. Hearn is the son of Joe and Heather Hearn of Auburn.
