LEWISTON — Andrea Ray Foster, 66, of Wales, died Feb. 22, after a brief battle with cancer.

The oldest of 10 children, she was born Nov. 10, 1945, to Dellbert and Ruth Ericson Ray. She married the love of her life, Joe A. Foster on July 3, 1966. They shared 44 years of happiness until his sudden passing on Feb. 24, 2011.

Andrea was a loving and caring person, known to many special people as “Meme.” She was a great cook and enjoyed catering family gatherings.

She was employed at Tambriand’s in Auburn for many years and later retired from Sam’s Italian of Auburn.

She is survived by her daughter, Norma Jean and her husband, Patrick, of Wales; her step-son, Armin and his wife, Debbie, of Resaca Ga.; four grandchildren; her mother, Ruth Bergeron of Biddeford; five brothers; three sisters; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband; her brother, David; and her father.
