AUBURN — Priscilla W. Ames, 80, of the Rumford Community Home, formerly of Farmington, passed peacefully at 5:15 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 16, at the Hospice House.
She was born May 16, 1932, in Farmington Falls, the daughter of Elmer and Beatrice (Pillsbury) Webber. She received her education in local schools and graduated from Farmington High School in 1950.
She worked outside of the home at varied occupations, including working editing and proofreading at Knowlton-Mcleary Co. Her hobbies included woodworking and painting and her favorite time was spent with her family.
She is survived by her husband, Collis Ames of Farmington; sons, Christopher Carsten and his wife, Stella, of Sherman, Texas, and Randolph Carsten and his wife, Amy, of West Farmington; siblings, Gerald Webber and Shirley WItherall of the Farmington area; two grandchildren, Rachel Bell and her husband, Justin and Catherine Carsten.
She was predeceased by a grandson, Zachary Carsten; and siblings, Dena Brooks and Harold Webber.
