Homemakers meet
CHESTERVILLE — The North Chesterville Extension Homemakers will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21, in the Chesterville Town Office. The topic of the meeting will be to redo program planning for 2012. The public is invited. For more information, call 778-3156.
Lifeguard course
FARMINGTON — Jan. 31 marked the release of the revised Red Cross Lifeguard Program. This program reflects training skills that correspond with cutting edge research on how guards should be training and the most effective skills needed to prevent, prepare and respond to emergencies.
The Fitness Center will host its first Lifeguard Course of 2012 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21, through Thursday, Feb. 23. Participants must pass a pre-course swimming skills evaluation and be 15 years old. Nonmembers to the Fitness Center are given two visit passes, upon paid-in-full registrations, to practice the pre-course swimming skills.

Crafters, vendors wanted
HARTFORD — Hartford Community Church is looking for crafters, food vendors and organizations who are interested in participating in the Spring Fling Fair, to be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 31, at the Hartford Town Hall, Route 140.
