AUBURN — Dennis Jordan of New Gloucester passed on Feb. 2. Though cancer stole his body, he will remain alive in the hearts and memories of those who loved him.
He was born Nov. 4, 1946, the son of Gwendolyn Hunnewell Jordan and Sumner Jordan.
Dennis attended New Gloucester schools and graduated from Gray-New Gloucester High School. He served his country in the Army, stationed on the DMZ in Korea. He went on to trade school in California, and became a farrier.
Dennis shared his “Never a Dull Moment” life with his wife of 45 years, Dianna (Dina) Ross Jordan. Together they raised a remarkable daughter Amanda (Mandi) Jordan Coulombe. She married Dennis Coulombe and they blessed him with the most precious gifts ever, Alexa Coulombe and Lauren Coulombe, all of Falmouth. Loving them and supporting their interests became his priority in life.
He is survived by his mother; his sister, Darryl Whiting and her husband Gary, of New Gloucester; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his his father, Sumner.
The family would like to extend a special thank-you to Dennis McCann, his wife, Lisa and their sons, David and Thomas, all of New Gloucester, for all of the day to day help.
A very special thank-you to all the doctors and nurses who cared for him at the VA Hospital in Togus as well as at The Hospice House in Auburn.
