LEWISTON — Ron Paul is coming.
The Republican candidate for president will stop at the Ramada Inn at 6:30 p.m. Friday for a “town hall speaking engagement,” according to Paul’s campaign staff.
The event is free and open to the public. No further details were available from campaign staff on Wednesday.
The Ramada Inn sales director said the campaign booked a room that holds 150 to 200 people.
According to the Facebook page “Maine for Ron Paul 2012,” the congressman plans a busy two days Friday and Saturday with six stops that include Bangor, Lewiston, Gorham and time out for lobster rolls in Freeport.
Paul, a Texas physician, finished third in the Iowa caucus, second in the New Hampshire primary and fourth in the South Carolina primary.
Republicans here will caucus between Feb. 4 and 11.
