INDUSTRY — Terry L. Dubay, 65, of Industry, died unexpectedly at his home on Saturday, Jan. 7.
He was born March 6, 1947, in Farmington, a son of Lowell and Esther (Harris) Dubay. He attended local schools and went on to earn an associate degree in machine tool technology, with the highest scholastic standing in the class, from Southern Maine Vocational Technical Institute.
A veteran of the U.S. Army, he served during the Vietnam War from May 1969 to April 1970. Upon his discharge, he was awarded a number of commendation medals for his exemplary service to his country. He settled in Freeport and worked at General Dynamics and Bath Iron Works, until his retirement.
Terry enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. The outdoors in general was his home environment.
He is survived by his children, Amy Shields and her husband, Seth Shields, of Westbrook and Dirik Raymond Dubay of Missoula, Mont.; his grandchildren, Zoe C. and Kylie B. Shields; his siblings, Kenneth Dubay and his wife, Sandra, Dan Dubay, Lowell Dubay Jr. and his wife, Joyce, Denny Dubay and Michael Dubay, Sandra Hallee and her husband, Roger, Evelyn Stevens and her husband, Lynn and Francine Fletcher and her husband, Bryan; and a multitude of nieces and nephews.
