AUBURN — A Gray man was arrested at his workplace here Monday and charged with having sexual contact with a minor at his home on Christmas Day, police said.

Jonathan Dubay, 41, was arrested at the Good Shepherd Food-Bank on Hotel Road, according to a news release from Cumberland County Sheriff’s Department Chief Deputy Naldo Gagnon on Monday.

Dubay serves as manager of safety and facilities at the food pantry, according to the Good Shepherd’s website.

He is charged with unlawful sexual contact, a Class B crime, and was taken to the Cumberland County Jail in Portland and booked at 1:30 p.m. He remained incarcerated late Monday night, a jail spokesman said.

Dubay is accused of having sexual contact with a person under the age of 12 at his home at 55 Lawrence Road at 1 a.m. on Christmas Day, according to Gagnon. The incident was reported to police by the Department of Health and Human Services, and an investigation has been under way since New Year’s Day, the statement said.

Dubay is scheduled to appear in Portland court Tuesday, the statement said.

Auburn police assisted in making the arrest.
