FARMINGTON — Cheryl Anne Ricketts, 57, of Farmington, died early Sunday, Dec. 18, at the Sandy River Center for Rehabilitation.
She was born in Portsmouth, N.H., May 13, 1954, a daughter of Frederick Chesley and Inez Hope (Poole) Ricketts Sr. She grew up in Portsmouth, N.H., and attended Great Bay school for a short time.
Cheryl attended the Church of the Nazarene in Farmington Falls. She enjoyed coloring, writing, her Barbie dolls and music, especially church music including “Jesus Loves Me,” “O’ How I Love Jesus” and “You Are My Sunshine.”
She is survived by her siblings, Ruby Fretz of North Providence, R.I., Gloria Blowers of Old Hickory, Tenn., Frederick Chesley “Chet” Ricketts Jr. of Eliot, V. Dolores Buffey of Selma, N.C., and M. Sharon Morse of Farmington, with whom Cheryl lived with for the last 10 years until health issues necessitated her move to Sandy River; many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by an infant sister, Beulah Marilyn Ricketts.
Cheryl brought love and sunshine to all who knew her. She was a treasure and family favorite. Her family wishes to extend a sincere thank-you to all of the nurses and staff of Sandy River for all of the love and care they showed to Cheryl during her time there.
