FARMINGTON — Central Maine Community College will conduct an evening registration session for the upcoming spring semester Monday, Dec. 12, at Franklin Memorial Hospital. The session will be held in the Crosby Room from 6 to 7:30 p.m. and all interested and prospective students are encouraged to attend.

Matthew Dumais, CMCC student services representative for Franklin County, will be on hand to assist students and answer questions. Admissions information will be available, and students will be able to register for spring semester classes that evening. Payment by check, money order or credit card will be accepted.

Spring semester classes in Franklin County will be offered at five locations: Mt. Abram High School, Mt. Blue High School, Franklin Memorial Hospital, the Career Center in Wilton and Rangeley High School. Courses offered include college writing, technical writing, intermediate algebra, college algebra, statistics, state and local government, U.S. history to 1877, intro to psychology, developmental psychology, intro to sales and management, medical specialties and human sexuality.

Any interested high school students are encouraged to contact their guidance office to find out if they are eligible to take a class tuition-free. There are also scholarship opportunities available through the Franklin County Community College Network (www.franklinnetwork.org). The FCCCN and CMCC have a working partnership to bring convenient and accessible college classes to Franklin County.
