FARMINGTON — Marius Joseph Sevigny, 76, of Farmington, died suddenly of natural causes at his home on the morning of Saturday, Dec.3. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend of many and his loss will be deeply felt.
He was born in Lac Megantic, Quebec, Canada, on Aug. 25, 1935, into a large farming family, a son of Euclide and Marie-Jeanne Drouin Sevigny. He worked for many years as a long-distance truck driver and had many stories to tell his grandchildren of those days on the road. In recent years, he spent much of his time surrounded by his wife and family. He was fun loving and full of life and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Meta Sevigny of Farmington; stepchildren, Sylvia Miller of Knoxville, Tenn., Marian Mims of Baytown, Texas, Gilbert Miller and David Miller, both of Wilton; grandchildren, Lisa Zerosky, Michael Silamianos, Jan Walker, Maria Ramsey, Michelle Walton, Michael Mims Jr., Alissa Miller, Jacob Miller, Noah Miller, Ian Miller, Chloe Miller, Audrey Miller and Joel Miller, as well as several great-grandchildren and Canadian relatives.
