Food pantry
OTISFIELD — The Food Pantry will be open from from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday, Dec. 6, at Spurrs Corner Church, Route 121. The pantry is open the first and third Tuesdays of each month from 10 a.m. to noon, and the second Monday evening of each month from 5 to 7 p.m. For more information, call 583-4780 or 627-4329.
Potluck supper
ANDOVER — The Snow Valley Sno-Goers snowmobile club will hold a holiday potluck supper at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 7, at the clubhouse off Route 5. Please bring a potluck item; all are welcome. The supper will be followed by a club meeting at 7 p.m. and the drawing of the fall 50/50 prize.
Also gratefully accepted will be gifts for the Andover Elementary School store, enabling the students to obtain gifts for family and friends for minimal or no cost. This is the third year the club has helped the school store.
Christmas potluck
LOCKE MILLS — The Greenwood Historical Society will hold their annual Christmas potluck supper at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 7, at the society building. Attendees are asked to bring a dish to share and a wrapped gift for the auction with Willy Hathaway as auctioneer.
Vet advocate visit
PARIS — The veterans advocate will not be at the Maine Veteran’s Home on Wednesday, Dec. 7. His next visit to the Maine Veteran’s Home will be Wednesday, Dec. 14 at his usual time of 9 a.m. to noon.
DUV meetings
NORWAY — The Daughters of Union Veterans of the Civil War 1861-1865, Hannah F. Richardson Tent 19, of Stoneham held their monthly meeting at the home of Marilyn Jones in Norway. Seven members were present.
The first nomination of officers was held. The second nomination of officers will be held at the December Christmas meeting at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 7, at the Haskell House preceded by a chowder supper.
Each member should bring a gift to be exchanged and four small gifts for the stockings of disabled members.
Dues will be due Jan. 1.
Niche pantry
WEST PARIS — The Neighborhood Niche Food Pantry will be open from 1 to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 7, at West Paris Baptist Church, 15 Church St.
West Paris residents are invited to come once a month.
The pantry is open from 1 to 3 p.m. the first Wednesday and from noon to 2 p.m. the third Saturday of each month.

Karate program
BRIDGTON — New this fall, the Karate Afterschool program will run on Thursdays year-round from 3:20 to 4:20 p.m. at Stevens Brook. Forms available at town office, town rec website or from instructor. Winter session will begin Thursday, Dec. 8.
Christmas angels
BRYANT POND — The December program for the Whitman Memorial Library will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 8. Making Christmas angels for the tree will be led by librarian Althea Hathaway and Genneth Berryment.
Supplies will be provided at no charge and light refreshments will be served.
