FARMINGTON — The Mt. Blue Regional School District has announced the December concert season in area schools. There are numerous changes to the concert schedule due to the ongoing renovation project at the Mt. Blue High School. Because of the building project, several concert formats and locations are changed.

Opening the concert season on Monday, Dec. 5, is a joint concert by the Mt. Blue Middle and High School orchestras under the direction of Steven Muise. This concert will be held in the Mt. Blue Middle School gym beginning at 7 p.m.

Wednesday, Dec. 7, the student musicians at the Cascade Brook School will present their concert in the school gym at 7 p.m. This is a new location for this elementary school concert. Parking will be available at Cascade Brook School and the Mt. Blue Middle School. Directing the student musicians is Karen Beacham, Nancy Beacham and Mark Phillips.

Thursday, Dec. 8, the student musicians at Cape Cod Hill School will present their concert in the school gym under the direction of Lindsay Burke, Karen Beacham and Nancy Beacham. The concert will begin at 7 p.m.

The Mt. Blue Middle and High School bands will present a joint concert on Monday, Dec. 12, at 7 p.m. in the Mt. Blue Middle School gym. These student musicians are under the direction of Karen Beacham and Darryl Pike.

Wednesday, Dec. 14, the Academy Hill student musicians will present their concert at 7 p.m. in the school gym under the direction of Lindsay Burke, Steven Muise and Darryl Pike.

Concluding the December concerts will be a joint presentation of the Mt. Blue Middle and High School choruses on Thursday, Dec. 15, at 7 p.m. in the Mt. Blue Middle School gym under the direction of Lindsay Burke and Carol Shumway.

In the event of any concert cancellations due to weather, concerts will be rescheduled to either Dec. 19 or 20.
