FARMINGTON — WMCA Health Services is offering free HIV testing to all as part of World AIDS Day, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 1, at their office at 193 Front St. Anyone can either call the clinic to make an appointment or walk in that day for free testing. WMCA Health Services uses Rapid HIV testing so that people getting an HIV test can get their results in 20 minutes. The clinic offers confidential HIV testing. Free chlamydia and gonorrhea testing will also be offered for all woman age 26 and under and all men. Food, giveaways and gift cards will be given to all who test on a first come first serve basis.
World AIDS Day is an annual opportunity for people worldwide to unite in the fight against HIV, show their support for people living with HIV and to commemorate people who have died. World AIDS Day was the first-ever global health day and the first one was held in 1988.
