The high cost of medical care is one of the big problems with today’s economy, yet nobody seems to want to come up with some kind of solution. For example, hospitals in Maine are tax-free establishments, so how can the boards of directors of those organizations justify giving their chief executive officers hefty bonuses? Those people already make more than six figures a year.

If such bonuses were stopped in all hospitals in Maine, it would be a step in the right direction for solving some of the high costs of medical care.

High health care costs have to stop somewhere. The top executives should start earning their money by having a little conscience and concentrate on lowering the costs, instead of always increasing them.
