HARRISON — A local couple has won $2.6 million from the Maine State Lottery.

Lottery officials announced Thursday morning that the winners of Oct. 26, 2011 Megabucks Plus draw are Pam and Delbert Arey of Harrison.

They have claimed their jackpot prize. The winning ticket was purchased at Polly’s Variety in Oxford.

The winning numbers for that Wednesday were 10-20-30-31-33 Mega Ball 4. The winning ticket matched all six numbers for the jackpot win.

““We are regular customers at Polly’s, and always buy our tickets on Saturday, and this was the first time we had purchased a ticket there on a Wednesday,” said Delbert Arey, according to a lottery commission press release issued Thursday. “It was a last minute stop and we decided to buy a ticket. We are certainly glad we did.”
