LIVERMORE FALLS – Electrical service was restored at about 7:30 p.m. Tuesday to customers in Jay, Livermore, Livermore Falls, Leeds and Wayne after a power line came down on Depot Street in Livermore Falls, a CMP spokesperson said.
Livermore Falls firefighters responded to a report of a downed power line that started a small grass fire at about 5 p.m., near 98 Depot St., firefighter James Butler Jr. said.
Firefighters had to wait until CMP shut the power off to put the fire out, he said.
The outage affected 2,061 CMP accounts in the five towns, a spokesperson said. The hardest hit areas were Livermore Falls and Livermore with only a few roads affected in the other towns.
