Has anyone ever wondered why all the liberal politicians are pushing hard for the casinos? More tax money to spend on people who do not have any income, except money that the liberal politicians shovel their way (most have more than I do, and I have worked all my life).

At what cost to the public?

If this comes to this town, taxes will not go down and maybe, because of the infrastructure that will be needed, they may go up.

Politicians can not, or will not, see any further than the buck. That buck comes from the gamblers, from their losses.

Now for jobs — most of the skilled jobs are filled by the casinos from other states, but there may be a few low-paying jobs for the locals.

If people are willing to see their beloved town disintegrate, back to when the Holly Hotel was here, then go and vote for the casino, but years down the road many will live to regret that vote.

Once here, it will never leave.

Lewiston voters are smarter than to vote for this plague.
