The voters of Maine are looking at many questions on Nov. 8.

Question 2 has to do with a new commercial harness racetrack and racino in southern Maine and a similar project in Washington County. This will not only bring jobs to Maine, but it supports an industry that’s been a part of Maine for more than 100 years. Harness racing has been around that long.

Southern Maine needs a new track.

The racinos also support the agricultural fairs, whether parimutuel or non-parimutuel, with stipends for cattle, exhibition halls, harness racing and facility improvements.

Those are all good reasons to support Question 2 on Nov. 8.
