BRIDGTON, Maine (AP) — Police say one person has died in a high-speed car crash in Bridgton.
Police say officers tried to stop the vehicle at about 12:30 p.m. on Sunday for speeding on Willis Park Road, but the car sped away on route 302.
Police say witnesses told them the car then turned on Kansas Road at a high speed.
Officers say the driver lost control, went airborne and hit a tree. There was only person in the car.
The victim’s name was not made public and the crash remains under investigation.
