AUBURN — Members of Masonic Lodges will hold a informational open house from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, at the Auburn Lodge, 1021 Turner St.

Information will be giving about the “ancient and honorable institution” which is said to be the oldest fraternity in the world. Information on other organizations founded by Freemasons including Eastern Star, Rainbow for Girls, Jobs Daughters and the Order of DeMolay will also be available.

The public is invited to tour the facility and learn the history, traditions and symbolism of the fraternity.

The purpose of Masonry is to “make good men better.” This is accomplished by helping members focus on personal growth, success of their families and supporting the greater community.

Masonry is open to all men over the age of 18 who are considered to be of good character. Freemasons come from every country, sect and opinion.
