The Lewiston School Committee Monday will hold a hearing on a grievance filed by the Lewiston Teachers Association protesting an additional half-hour of elementary school preparation time.

Superintendent Robert V. Connors last week denied the grievance, leading to the next step in the procedure.

Teachers have said that the additional 30 minutes cuts into their classroom preparation time. Connors recommended the change so that students would receive the state minimum instructional time.

The meeting will be held at Martel School.
