HARRISON – Recreation Department Director Paula Holt has announced the lineup of fall recreation programs and activities.

Munchkin soccer for kindergarten-age girls and boys is being held Thursdays through Oct. 20 from 3:15 to 4:15 p.m. at the Harrison school field with coach Heather Robinson.

Youth soccer for girls and boys in grades one through six will run in October with weekly practices at the Field of Dreams complex off Route 117 and games on Saturdays. Students in grades three and four will have a round robin Oct. 9, and fifth and sixth grade student playoffs will be on Oct. 15. Coaches are Cathy Desouza for grades five and six, Amanda Casey for grades three and four, Mike and Jess DiBiase for grades one and two and Michaele Potvin for grades 1 and 2.

Coed adult pickup basketball for ages 18 and older is held Mondays from 6  to 8 p.m. at the Harrison school gym beginning Oct. 17. Sneakers are required. The schedule follows the school calendar.

Coed teen pickup basketball begins Oct. 17 for students in grades seven through 11 is Tuesdays from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Harrison school gym. The schedule follows the school calendar.

Harrison Recreation cafe is open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Election Day, Nov. 8, with soups, chowders, chili, hot dogs, breads, desserts and specials. This is a Harrison Recreation fundraiser.

The Halloween Festival will be held Monday, Oct. 31, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Harrison Fire Station for Harrison children ages 1 to 12. There will be lots of games, prizes, arts and crafts, a costume contest, food and fun.
