BRIDGTON — “Everything Apple” at the Bridgton Community Center held on Maine Apple Sunday, Sept. 11, was a success thanks to the volunteers who baked apple dishes and the folks who attended and sampled apple cheesecake, apple brownies, pie, strudel, crisp and apple soup.

Tom Gyger of Five Fields Farm donated the apples for baking. Also volunteering were Ingrid von Kannerwurff, Joanne Crocker, Lee Boothby, Tom Hunt, Allen Curtis and James Lone.

The proceeds of the event support the BCC Fuel Collaborative which provides emergency fuel for Bridgton residents. Last year 28 families were served at a cost of $11,000. This year $12,000 is needed; currently the collaborative has $1600. Donations are needed. For more information, contact Lorraine or Carmen at the Bridgton Community Center, 647-3116.
