FARMINGTON — Maine Centers for Women, Work, and Community is offering a free budgeting basics workshop from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 28, at the Farmington Center of Women, Work and Community, 108 Perham St.

Participants will learn about the basic components for building a budget. Topics will include money tracking, goal setting, challenges, ways to reduce expenses and how understanding one’s overall financial situation can be helpful in creating a budget that works.

Women, Work, and Community is a statewide nonprofit organization committed to improving the economic lives of Maine women and their families.
