Francis M. Allen of Auburn is suffering severely as the result of a fly bite a day or two ago. Mr. Allen was in the Hasty stable on Main street when he felt a sting on his right hand. At the time he thought he had been bitten by a common house fly.
At home that evening, he applied home remedies to the hand and thought that it would be alright. He was awakened by the pain and obliged to secure the services of a physician. Mr. Allen now thinks that he was bitten by some poisonous insect, but does not know what it was.
