PARIS — Celebration Barn Theater will wrap up its 40th anniversary season on Saturday, Oct. 1, with music by Tricky Britches and The Ale House String Band. In addition, there will be acts by Fritz Grobe, Amanda Huotari and surprise guests.

Tricky Britches is a high-energy string band from Portland. It has progressed from heel-stomping, old-time fiddle tunes to a fusion of classic bluegrass, country and folk rock. Making up the band are Tyler Lienhardt on fiddle; Seth Doyle, mandolin; Jed Bresette, bass; Ryan “Bear” Wilkinson, banjo; and Nick Wallace, guitar.

Members of The Ale House String Band of Waldoboro are guitarist Oren Robinson, head of “The Early Evening Show” orchestra at Oddfellow Theater in Buckfield; Brian Dunn, mandolin; and April Reed-Cox, violin and cello.

“It’s fitting to finale this landmark season with a show that feels like a party,” said Celebration Barn Executive Director Amanda Huotari. “We’re thrilled to bring together some of Maine’s most up-and-coming musical and theatrical acts. In addition to a performance by Fritz Grobe, we’re looking forward to sharing fun surprises from the Barn’s visiting performers.”

The show will start at 8 p.m. Tickets, $12, may be purchased by calling 743-8452. Celebration Barn Theater is at 190 Stock Farm Road, off Route 117. For more information, visit www.CelebrationBarn.com.
