FARMINGTON, Maine (AP) — A $14,300 reward is being offered to help find the killer of an 81-year-old Maine woman attacked in her Farmington home.

The family and friends of Grace Burton are still raising money to add to the reward fund.

Burton died June 21 after someone broke into her home and stabbed her. She died at a hospital.

Police say they have DNA samples from her attacker, but it has not been matched with anyone.

The Morning Sentinel says investigators believe Burton’s assailant is a slightly built male, who cut his hands and fingers during the early morning home invasion at the Margaret Chase Smith Apartments.

Burton’s son Robert Butterfield says there will be no closure for family members until the person responsible his mother’s death has been convicted.
