Thanks to the effort of Ruby Kulpa and Elaine Morton, The Andover Fire Department is raffling off two homemade quilts. With the desire to help support the fire department, Kulpa approached Morton with material that was already cut; they decided to make two quilts and donate them to the department. In turn the fire department wanted to show its support for the community. An agreement was made where 50 percent of the funds raised will help the fire department as Kulpa initially intended and 50 percent of the funds will go the Andover Elementary School Fund. Tickets are available from Andover firemen, Town Office, Red Hen Dinner, Martin’s Sales and Service and Visible Changes. The drawing will be held on Oct 1. Kulpa created a red and green quilt, while Morton sewed a purple and white one.
