Bluegrass music
BRYANT POND — An evening of bluegrass music featuring The Thursday Night Pickers with Becky Law and The Hemingway Brothers Bluegrass Band will take place at 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, at Franklin Grange #124, Main Street.
Refreshments will be on sale. There will be a 50/50 raffle. Admission for adults is $6; children $3.
Proceeds benefit the Grange building fund.
Homemakers meet
CHESTERVILLE — The North Chesterville Extension Homemakers will be meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 27, in the Chesterville Town Office. The topic of the program will be making the decorations for the Chester Greenwood Festival of Trees to be auctioned for charity in December. The craft will be led by Linda Gramlich. Parent-to-parent
FARMINGTON — The Franklin County Children’s Task Force and the Maine Parent Federation will present a parent-to-parent program from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 27. The course matches parents of children with special health care needs or disabilities to an experienced parent living in similar situations. Training will provide information on parent to parent program, support parent role, communication skills and resources.
Dinner and child care provided and a prize drawing will be held for workshop attendees.

Conflict with kids
FARMINGTON — The Franklin County Children’s Task Force and the Maine Parent Federation will present “Making Peace with Conflict: Weathering the Storm,” from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 29.
We all have individual tendencies or styles we use to manage, avoid or resolve conflict. Through discussion, reflection and interaction, participants will become familiar with some of the common terms and tools used to manage conflict. Participants will have the opportunity to explore various approaches to resolve conflict and identify strategies that can be used to resolve future conflicts.
