FARMINGTON — The Franklin County Animal Shelter pet of the week, Clyde, is a handsome man that always seems stylish in his tuxedo coat. He is about three years old and would do well in almost any type of household. He loves children and will tolerate the way that they tend to hold him. He likes other cats and is tolerant of most dogs. Like most cats he believes ‘cats rule and dogs drool.’ Like all of the kitties at the shelter Clyde is neutered, up to date on routine vaccinations, treated for internal and external parasites and tested for feline leukemia and feline aids.
New dogs at the shelter include an older pointer mix from Freeman, a Jack Russell mix from East Dixfield, a chihuahua mix from Leeds, a bichon/poodle mix who is not good with young children and a rotti mix from Farmington.
The shelter recently benefited when Margaret Luce took the proceeds from one day at the Strong Yard Sale and bought more than $450 worth of supplies for dogs and cats at the shelter.
