WEST PARIS — With September comes the beginning of worship services at the Universalist Church of West Paris, held at 9 a.m. every Sunday into the month of June. All are welcome; refreshments following the services. The month of September includes:

Sept. 11 – Music Soothes Our Soul, Lifts Our Spirit. The service will include music selections performed by church organist, Jim Burke, and two members of the Mahoosuc Community Band, Brian Dunham on trumpet and Kathleen DeVore on flute. A water communion and remembrance of the 9/11 victims are part of this day’s service.

Sept. 18 – Over What Hill? Where? When? A service celebrating the senior years with gusto, humor and grace.

Sept. 25 – Guest speaker Cindy Reedy will lead the service titled “Tranquil Streams, The Roots of Unitarian Universalism.” Once different religions, Reedy will describe the journey of merging the two, which took place in 1961.
