FARMINGTON — Marshmellow, the Franklin County Animal Shelter pet of the week, came to the shelter with her two kittens. She was surrendered because her owner could no longer afford them. She loves other cats, although she does like to escape away from her kittens from time to time. She appears to be tolerant of most dogs. She loves to lie in laps and would be a great companion for those lonely nights. If you would like a kitty companion to curl up with on the couch than Marshmellow may be the one for you.
New dogs at the shelter include a Bichon/poodle mix about six years old; older chocolate Lab mix found on the South Strong Road and an older yellow Lab mix found in Livermore Falls on Park Street.
The shelter will hold a clinic from 10 a.m. to noon Oct. 1 at the Industry Town Hall. A rabies shot will be $10 and a microchip will be $25.
