FARMINGTON — A local woman was being held in jail on $1,500 cash bail Thursday on a charge of having sex with a a young teenage boy, police said.

Mandy Lynn Thibodeau, 34, of Farmington was arrested Wednesday on a Farmington Police Department warrant charging felony gross sexual assault, Detective Marc Bowering said.

Franklin County Sheriff’s Detective David St. Laurent also issued Thibodeau a summons on a second charge of gross sexual assault pertaining to the Farmington case, Bowering said.

Thibodeau is an acquaintance of the boy. The assaults allegedly occurred in Farmington and northern Franklin County, Bowering said.

The boy is not from Franklin County, he said.

A family member of the boy made a complaint to the Police Department on the matter and police began an investigation.
