WILTON — Wilton Fish and Game Association and the Rimfire Youth League had a great fundraising event during the Wilton Blueberry Festival. The shooting gallery was open to all to test their shooting ability and learn gun safety. Those who wanted had the opportunity to shoot a Gatling Gun.

The Wilton Fish and Game has just purchased 12-plus abutting acres of land. The members have added an archery range including a 15-foot tree stand and will be adding more opportunities for archery. The raised funds will be used for the indoor shooting range.

Membership is always open. Call 897-3027 for more information. If there are any young men or women between the ages of 10 and 16 who would like to learn the sport of shooting, call 897-3160. Meetings are held at 6:30 on the third Wednesday of every month.

There will be a Field Day at the Wilton Fish and Game Club from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 18. Trap/archery will be held from 8 to 11:30 a.m., and Cowboy/Archery at 12:30. Participants should bring their own ammo. Lead only for Cowboys.
