BETHEL — From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 21, the Bethel Regional Airport will hold its first Fly-In.

The rain date is Sunday, Aug. 28. Admission is free, and it’s open to the public.

A Precision Spot Landing Competition begins at 1 p.m. with first- and second-place winners to receive free fuel and a plaque.

At 3 p.m., contests will be held for the oldest pilot, youngest pilot, farthest away and oldest airplane. Winners will receive trophies. A raffle drawing follows at 3:30 p.m.

Other offerings include static displays of various types of aircraft from throughout the region, a radio-controlled model aircraft display, scenic aircraft rides and a barbecue by the Bethel Fire Department.
