LIVERMORE — A head-on collision at about 10:30 a.m. on Route 4 in Livermore involving a pickup truck and a car, closed Route 4 from the Crash Road and Route 4 intersection south to the Route 108 and Route 4 intersection for several hours Friday.

The road was re-opened to traffic at about 2:25 p.m., police said.

Police are reconstructing the scene of the two-vehicle collision. The accident occurred on a slight curve north of Waters Hill Road and before the boat ramp on Round Pond.

Livermore Fire Chief Donald Castonguay said vehicles were being rerouted across Route 108 past Norlands to Gibbs Mill Road and back on to Route 4.

Castonguay said mutiple people were injured in the crash including the drivers and an occupant of in one of the vehicles but the injuries sustained were not life-threatening.
