PARIS — Celebration Barn Theater will present Broadway’s Avner “the Eccentric” Eisenberg in “Exceptions to Gravity, his newest show, onSaturday, Aug. 6.
“Exceptions to Gravity,” Avner’s newest show, defies the barriers of language and culture, and has toured across the United States and abroad. Avner weaves a spell of poetic simplicity in a show of hilarious predicaments.
Besides Broadway, Avner has performed at Lincoln Center, Trinity Rep, The Empty Space and the Goodman Theater. He is probably best known for his endearing portrayal of The Jewel, the scene-stealing holy man, in the film “The Jewel of the Nile,” co-starring Michael Douglas and Kathleen Turner.
Avner travels the world teaching clowning workshops. He believes in the therapeutic power of performing and is a certified hypnotist. He was recently inducted into the International Clown hall of Fame.
“Exceptions to Gravity” will begin at 8 p.m. Tickets are $14 for adults, $12 for seniors and $8 for students and children. Call 743-8452. Celebration Barn Theater is at 190 Stock Farm Road. For more information, visit www. CelebrationBarn.com.
