ANDOVER — The Andover Photography Contest will be exhibited on Saturday, Aug. 6, downstairs in the Town Hall. Photographs are placed into four subject groups.
Group A – Portrait; Animal and landscape color prints for photographers 17 and older.
Group B- Color and black & white, 11 years to 16 years.
Group C – Color and black & white, 10 years and under.
Group D – Black and white prints, 17 years and older.
There will be 147 ribbons awarded, including one Best of Show, six Grand Prizes, and 1st, 2nd, 3rd and Honorable Mention awards.
All photographs must be submitted at the Andover Town Hall no later than Wednesday, Aug. 3. This is strictly enforced. Photographs can be submitted from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, July 30; from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 1; or from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 3.
Rules for entry: 1. Each photograph must have a name and address visibly printed on the reverse side of the photograph. If under 17 years, put age also. 2. No photograph will be accepted with a name on the photo side. 3. Only three photographs in any one subject per person. 4. No professionals please. 5. If you have already won a first place ribbon in any of our past exhibits, do not submit that photograph again. Framed or matted photographs do not enhance the judging, but it does compliment the exhibit. No photographs larger than 16-inch by 20-inch. 6. All photographs must be picked up between 3 and 3:30 p.m. on Aug. 6.
