NEW GLOUCESTER — The Fight Back Festival will be held Saturday, Sept. 24, at Pineland Farms. Fight Back is a family festival of fun for all including demonstrations, balloons, face-painting, live music and food.
Events will include Chris & Dave’s Not Dead Yet Bike Ride featuring 10-, 25- and 50-mile bike rides; Combat Cancer Run featuring 5K and 10K races; and Combat Cancer one-mile stroll and 5K walk. A barbecue and lobster bake will follow all events.
Participate as an individual or as a team. All proceeds support the Cancer Community Center participants so they are able to join in free activities and receive free support as they or a loved one are coping with cancer.
Participants will have their own fundraising and informational page on the Fight Back website.
Fundraising prizes include a complimentary barbecue for those who raise $100, a complimentary long-sleeved performance T-shirt and barbecue for those raising $250, and a complimentary long-sleeved performance T-shirt and a lobster bake for those raising $500.
