STANDISH, Maine (AP) — Police in Maine say several children were among six people taken to the hospital with abrasions and bruises after a pickup broadsided an SUV.
The accident happened Sunday near Sebago Lake, at the intersection of Route 114 and Harmon’s Beach Road.
Police say the pickup was driven by Randy Baldwin, of Naples, and was carrying he, his wife and two children, ages 10 and 12.
The SUV was driven by Theresa Michaud, of Scarborough, who was driving her 14-year-old daughter and 15-year-old niece.
The Bangor Daily News reports that driver inattention is believed to have contributed to the wreck.
