FARMINGTON — Marie Wade, director of physical rehabilitation and sports medicine at Franklin Memorial Hospital, has announced that Jonathan Abell has completed his doctorate of physical therapy degree from Des Moines University.

Abell completed a post-professional transition DPT, intended for practicing clinicians who graduated with their bachelor’s degree in physical therapy. It allows these professionals to continue in their educational experience and advance their degree to that of the doctorate in physical therapy. Abell received his bachelor’s degree in 1999 from Northeastern University.

Abell has worked at Franklin Memorial Hospital as a physical therapist for six years. He provides outpatient physical therapy services, specializing in orthopedics, sports medicine and neuro rehab.
