NORWAY — In celebration of the upcoming Norway Art Festival, the Norway Farmers Market will welcome local artisans and small businesses for an Artisan Fair from 2 to 6 p.m. Thursday, July 7.
Mixed in with the vendors, guest farmers and guest artisans, Celebration Barn will provide information on the ongoing activities at their community theater. Their jugglers and mimes are expected to be milling about the market.
Mainely Soaps of Auburn will be showing their soaps, body sprays, room sprays and such products. Christian Ridge Pottery will be participating, along with the photography of Davin Curry, both local small businesses from South Paris.
Also from South Paris is the online company Diaper Shops. This local “green” company provides an updated version of cloth diapers and other great products. Diaper Shops will have coupons for future purchases and also will have a drawing for a gift basket.
There will be demonstrations by various vendors throughout the market day and samples of products to taste. Look for farm animals for the children.
Deedee Estes, event coordinator, will pass out free raffle tickets to customers upon arrival. The winning customer will receive a $25 gift certificate to the market to be used during the 2011 season.
The Norway Farmers Market runs until Sept. 29. It opens every Thursday afternoon from 2 to 6 p.m., rain or shine.
